Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS): Data are collected through statewide telephone survey of the non-instituionalized adult household population, aged 18 years and older, using a standard protocol and methods developed by the CDC.
Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS) Report: Data are collected through mail/telephone survey of mothers, randomly selected from state's birth certificate database, who have recently given birth to a live born infant. Each state follows the standardized protocol and utilizes survey instruments developed by the CDC but also is allowed to customize some portions based on the needs of the state.
National Survey of Children's Health: Data are collected through telephone survey of households with at least one resident child aged 0-17 years. The survey results are weighted to represent the population of non-institutionalized children nationally and in each of the 50 states plus District of Columbia.
